Damiano Davide – Piano and composer
Cecilia Costanzo – Cello
Music by Damiano Davide, Arvo Part, Giovanni Sollima, Olivier Messiaen
“Music from Silence” explores the deepness and the beauty of the sound generated from nothing, where every note is carefully chosen in a minimalistic journey that begins and always ends in silence.
The intimacy of the dialogue between piano and cello, sometimes whispering, sometimes arguing, is constantly flowing and it always reminds us that “Silence” is one of the most precious things we miss in the contemporary era.

Damiano Davide is a composer, pianist, and conductor with a broad musical vision that encompasses various genres. Trained at the Conservatory of Naples, he has received academic recognition and specialized in opera, working as a pianist and conductor in various Italian theaters, including the Teatro Comunale di Bologna and the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania.
In 2018, he made his conducting debut with “La Sonnambula” by Bellini. Since then, he has expanded his operatic repertoire, focusing particularly on the works of Bellini and Verdi.
As a composer, his music is characterized by a post-classical and minimalist approach, with a strong sense of melody.
He has collaborated with violinist Lino Cannavacciuolo, producing two albums: “Formae” (2021), which blends minimalism and folk music, and “Duo” (2022), a minimalist journey for violin and piano.
During the 2020 lockdown, he wrote his first solo album, “Mirror,” released in January 2021, with tracks used as the soundtrack for the documentary “Le catacombe di Napoli,” broadcast on SkyArte.
In 2023, he released a piece for solo cello, “Nostos,” and in 2024, “Nostos for String Quintet,” both published by DaVinci Publishing.
In 2024, he has created his new musical project “Musica dal Silenzio,” in duo with cellist Cecilia Costanzo.
An album of original compositions for solo piano is also forthcoming.
